Learn how to value different types of property. One of the most important responsibilities as an agent or broker to their client is the ability to calculate the value of the asset that the buyer is buying or the seller is selling.  To truly represent the best interest of the client and to protect the client, the agent or broker must be willing and able to have a candid and knowledgeable conversation about pricing and value. Licensee who represent their client have the fiduciary duty to give advice and opinions.  Advising a buyer  on what to offer on a property or a seller at what price to list the property  is key in the licensee’s responsibility.

1pm - 4pm : Investing 202: How to Measure ROI and Risk (3 hours) - # 42298

Learn how to value different types of property and measure risks and ROI. One of the most important responsibilities as an agent or broker to their client is the ability to calculate the value of the asset that the buyer is buying or the seller is selling.  To truly represent the best interest of the client and to protect the client, the agent or broker must be willing and able to have a candid and knowledgeable conversation about pricing and value. In this course the student will learn how to help their clients understand the estimated values, returns and risks associated with making investments.

Up to Speed on Residential Contracts (3 hours) - #40126/ #40147

This course satisfies TREC requirement that will take effect on February 1, 2021 and require license holders to complete at least 3 hours in contract-related coursework as a part of their 18 hours of CE.
The purpose of this course is to provide updates to the student on the One-to-Four Family Residential Contract. Included in this material is the verbiage of each paragraph of the contract with an explanation of what each paragraph means (in layman’s terms). Also included are the forms referred to in the paragraphs of the contracts so that you, the student will have a more comprehensive understanding of the relationship of the contract to the addenda/form and helpful tips for avoiding pitfalls and common problems associated with the contracts.

Legal Update I 2022-2023 (4 hours) – #42039

Legal Update I is a TREC required course for any licensee once they have been licensed and in their first two years of licensure and every two years after that. As the title suggests, this course is updated every two years by the Texas Real Estate Commission and the Texas A & M Research Center with topics that are applicable for that time period. The course includes statutory changes, TREC rule changes, proposed rule changes and any other topics that TREC feels needs addressing to update licensees in the state of Texas.

Legal Update II 2022-2023 (4 hours) – #42040

Legal Update II is a TREC required course for any licensee once they have been licensed and in their first two years of licensure and every two years after that. Similar to Legal Update 1, this course will cover contract changes, ethics, federal laws hat impact real estate licensee and hot topics.
